Today, I had the opportunity to present my keynote story, “What’s Going on Here?”.
I thought the feedback from the audience would provide a few tips for you.
When you are feeling that your life is out of control, check in with yourself to identify what’s not working.
Go through those piles of paper and use the FAT system. F= File, A=Action, T=Toss. File the reference information and create a file index, set a date for actionable items and put them in a tickler file and toss whatever you don’t need.
Don’t try to tackle everything at once, choose one area to get organized that is a priority and do it. Then move on once that has been completed.
Create a filing system that works for you and others (I recommend The Paper Tiger)
Ask yourself, What’s Going On Here? Get out of the denial.
Create your own vision, then develop a strategy.
Schedule time to get organized, it won’t happen otherwise.
I am a keynote speaker and would love to present to your group to fulfill topics related to getting organized, personal development, and time management. If you would like me to speak for your workshops, meetings or conventions, please email me at amcgurty@strategizeandorganize.com.
